Michael H. Yi was born in Seoul, Korea and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area in the mid 1980s. Mr. Yi received a Bachelors of Science from U.C.L.A. as an Applied Mathematics major and later worked as a paralegal for a complex litigation law firm in San Francisco prior to attending law school.
Mr. Yi received a Juris Doctorate from San Francisco Law School where he was awarded the Witkin's award in professional responsibility and worked as a certified law clerk for the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office. While at the S.F.D.A.'s Office, Mr. Yi worked in the misdemeanor, homicide and writs and appeals units.
Mr. Yi returned to Los Angeles, California to continue his legal practice. Mr. Yi worked as an associate attorney for the Law Offices of Michael Jay Berger in Beverly Hills, California where he worked in the chapter 11 department.
In addition, Mr. Yi has successfully litigated hundreds of civil disputes on behalf of corporate and individual clients as a solo practitioner at the Law Offices of Michael H. Yi
Mr. Yi specializes in bankruptcy, personal injury and business litigation and he is a member of the State Bar of California and is admitted to practice before all of the Superior Courts in the state of California and the United States District Courts for the Central and Southern Districts of California. Mr. Yi is a proud member of the Korean American Bar Association (KABA), and the Central District Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys Association (CDCBAA).
